IT Networks Project Manager – 12 Months Contract – Remote
Remote with Ad hoc travel to my clients’ sites, either Manchester or Bracknell as & when required
I’m waiting on hourly rate but expect it to be between £40 to £45/hr inside IR35 via an umbrella company, based on a 36 hour week
Initially 12 months contract with a strong opportunity to extend past this.
Essential: - Must have strong & WAN, LAN project management experience. Must have experience of delivering large scale network-based projects & solutions on a global basis. Excellent customer facing project management experience. 5 Plus years managing complex network projects across a global portfolio. Ability to multitask & to quickly familiarize yourself with complex project deliverables. Must be proficient or able to become proficient in Smartsheet; other industry PPM tool experience is required (e.g., MS Project). PMP certification desired. Demonstrated experience running multiple projects in excess of $1M. Strong knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) technology is required. Experience working with external partners, vendors, & specifically external vendor project managers is required. Demonstrated ability to work with a geographically dispersed team of management, stakeholders, project managers, & task owners

IT Network Project Manager should have solid experience at the lead or support level, a track record of delivering IT Projects on time & budget.
In addition to leading teams, it’s essential for the IT Network Project Manager to have a working knowledge of project management tools, processes, framework & reporting standards. It’s equally important that IT Network Project Manager understand how to manage stakeholder relationships.

IT Network Project Manager responsibilities:
- Will be a customer facing Network specialist Project Manager, delivering updates to existing LAN/WAN infrastructure.
- Manages business/project risks, produces an effective plan & risk assessment, so that timescales & project costs are understood & underwritten by all by the appropriate parties
- Stakeholder management
- Delivers the project on time, to budget & appropriate quality
- Develops integrated project schedules following industry standard procedures using Smartsheet
- Creates & manages action trackers with specific owners to ensure on time completion of tasks
- Manages risk register & develops a risk management plan to ensure that there is a strategy in place to avoid the identified risk
- Leads scoping exercise & provides project cost data to enable budgeting & reporting
- Works closely with Network Planning & Implementation teams to ensure project tasks are completed on time as expected. Effectively controls variances from the project plan as needed.
- Responsible for coordinating timely project meetings, producing meetings notes, & following up on any necessary action items

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical topics into layman terms in an enterprise environment while under time constraints.
