We are working with our major, global energy client recruiting for a HR Business Partner Offshore to join them on an initial 12-month contract with the expectation of extension. This roster is 2:2 2:4, (2 weeks on 2 weeks off 2 weeks on 4 weeks off).
The primary objective of this role is to execute a high standard of HR support to business stakeholders on the offshore assets and to deliver a full range of high-quality HR services, including: supporting offshore management with all aspects of human resources and employee relations management; employee relations issue resolution; consultation and advice on areas such performance management and standards and conditions of employment; review and update of policy and procedures; offshore resourcing requirements; salary and benefits administration; disputes and grievance handling.

Responsibilities:

Occupational health and safety
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. At all times, ensure the welfare of personnel and the protection of our assets and the environment.
Performance management
  • Assist in rolling out the performance review process for Company employees and contractors.
  • Facilitate and support the succession planning activities and the development of identified talent.

Policy, procedure & Legislation:
  • Provide advice and assistance to management and staff on human resources policies, standards, procedures, legislation, and employment agreements.
  • Provide HR input to Company policy and procedure reviews, ensuring compliance with any legislation – Domestic and International.
  • Identify areas for policy and/or procedural improvement; research, identify solutions.
  • Manage and negotiate solutions for grievances and other conditions of employment with staff.
General HR duties:
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices and Standards in the organisation.
  • Provide support and advice on issues related to workplace relations and performance management
Experience:
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification in HR or similar
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a generalist HR role at a professional level with additional other related experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate well developed knowledge and experience of applicable legislation including the Fair Work Act 2009, Modern Awards and the National Employment Standards
