RESPONSIBILITY AND TASKS
  • In cooperation with the HSE(Q) Manager, ensure that the project team, including sub-suppliers, has an HSE management system in line with prevailing authority requirements, contract requirements, WGN requirements and standards, and ensure that system and current requirements are followed by all in the project.
  • Actively assist the project team, WGN and client in reaching their HSE goals.
  • Coordinate and follow up HSE activities.
  • In consultation with the HSE(Q) Manager, assist the project team in HSE issues.
Main Duties
  • Assist in the maintenance and further development of the HSE management system in compliance with prevailing authority requirements, contract requirements, WGN requirements and standards.
  • Participate in necessary audits in order to check that the HSE system is always updated, is functioning according to intention and is efficient, and that HSE procedures are followed and requirements are met.
  • Follow up HSE activities according to the project’s HSE program, herein included the HSE activity plan.
  • Be an active initiator in all HSE-related issues, and assist the project team, WGN and client in reaching their HSE goals, and influence and motivate the project management and the co-workers.
  • Suggest and participate in the performance of HSE campaigns in order to set necessary focus on relevant HSE topics.
  • In cooperation with HSE(Q) Manager, make sure all project members receive necessary information, introduction and training within HSE.

What you need

Educational requirements:

-      Engineer or similar. Long and good relevant practice may compensate for formal education.
 
Experience requirements:

-      Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as HSE Engineer from offshore or onshore projects
 
Special requirements:

-      Basic course in working environment accomplished
-      Basic safety course accomplished
-      English and French speaking, both written and oral
