HSE Specialist /Advisor
Duration: 12 months - Full time contract
Work Location: Milan, Italy

Summarized Job Description or List of position Responsibilities/duties:

• Establish and ensure the implementation of project HSE plan.
• Leads all the HSE aspects of the projects.
• Develop and implement a safety program for each site to capture specific risk.
• Develop a contractor training program specific for site, in compliance with the client HSE policies.
• Develop and propose strategies improving HSE management for the Project.
• Set up an effective Accident Prevention Plan and a contingency plan.
• Lead regular inspections and audits on construction site
• Establish HSE Reporting for the Project.
• Set and Enforce Safety Policies.
• Coordinator HSE Training Programs.
• Investigate Injuries and Accidents.
• Make on-site inspections.
• Develop, monitor and enforce job safety analysis.
• Prepare and Submit reports.
• Excellent leadership and team building skills and being able to influence decision makers.
• Familiarity with behavioural based safety systems, risk analysis / job safe analysis methods, emergency response and crisis management procedures.
• Familiarity of Industry Standards and relevant industry HSE regulations and requirements.

Minimum Academic Qualifications:

• NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent, NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health and Safety.

Minimum Work Experience:

• 10 years plus:
  • Proven experience in providing health, safety and environmental management advice in a construction and project environment
  • Preferred experience in Oil & Gas projects (steel structures, piping and pressure vessels fabrication & construction).
  • Familiar with all construction risks (working at height, Lifting, confined space, welding/ grinding/cutting, etc..).
  • Able to perform risk assessment and prepare risk assessment report.
    • Good experience with SIMOPS.

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including the skill to explain complex concepts simply. Strong interpersonal skills to liaise effectively across all organizational levels, building trust and engagement.
