Job Purpose:


To lead and manage the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) function within a petrochemical facility, ensuring full compliance with local, national, and international regulations. The HSE Manager will implement policies and procedures to foster a safe work environment, prevent accidents, and minimize environmental impact.




Key Responsibilities:

 
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Ensure compliance with petrochemical industry standards, legal regulations, and corporate policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and ensure appropriate mitigation plans are in place.
  • Oversee safety audits, incident investigations, and root cause analysis; implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead safety training and awareness programs for all levels of employees, including contractors.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies for inspections, audits, and reporting.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and proactive safety performance.
  • Manage emergency response planning and drills.
  • Monitor and report on HSE KPIs to senior management.
  • Advise engineering, maintenance, and operations teams on safe work practices and environmental protection.
  • Oversee waste management, pollution control, and environmental impact mitigation efforts.





Requirements:



Education & Certification:

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • NEBOSH Diploma, OSHA Certification, or equivalent (mandatory).
  • ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Certification (preferred).



Experience:

 
  • Minimum 8–10 years of HSE experience in the petrochemical, oil & gas, or chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Proven leadership in high-risk industrial environments.
  • Required Indonesian Passport Holder.
  • Placement: Gresik (resident).



Skills:

 
  • Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in safety management systems and risk assessment tools.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive cultural change.





Working Conditions:

 
  • Site-based position; requires presence in processing areas and occasional exposure to hazardous conditions.
  • Must be available for emergency response and on-call support.
  • Occasional travel to other company sites or regulatory offices.
