Our client, an international Operating company, is currently seeking a HSE Advisor for a major project in Mozambique, working from their office in Paris.

Job role will include:
- Provide support to the Upstream HSE Manager in the execution of Project HSE Plan
- Stand-in for the Upstream HSE Manager during periods of absence providing leadership in HSSE performance and compliance including monitoring of performance, implementation of corrective measures for performance issues and pro-active implementation of schemes / activities to improve upon good performance across Upstream/ EPCI scope work activities.
- Support the HSE Audit plan of Project installation vessels and onshore sites and submit to Project management audit findings and recommendations for improvement. Expedite closure in a timely manner.
- Participate to HAZID identification processes and other risk assessment studies appropriate to the work activities being undertaken.
- Monitor and manage work tasks with external consultants and contractors as required.
- Ensure that all HSE scope work activities are performed in compliance with project technical requirements and fit for purpose.
- Support the HSE teams based in Mozambique (on and offshore) and Egypt, matched to the relevant project phase in accordance with the Project Execution Plan, ensuring Contractor delivers HSE related project documentation and reports as per agreed timelines.
- Participate to the follow up of incident investigation reports within synergi and development and submission of REX to Affiliate HSE
- Responsible for reporting of Contractor HSE Statistics and KPI’s to Affiliate HSE
- Manage Lizzy training profiles & updating HSE Pass (Training & FTW)
- Admin for DiWinci inputs (FTW, BOSIETs, Sea Survival compliance)
Accountabilities
- Management of Upstream/EPCI HSE scope delivery and team during the project execution phase.
- Safe and timely delivery of the Upstream/ EPCI HSE scope of work whilst ensuring a high level of quality consistent with a project design life of 20 years.
- Ensure compliance with Company HSE Golden Rules and requirements within all work activities.
Experience required:
- Minimum 10 years within the Oil & Gas industry and related HSE experience within large scale EPCI contracts with offshore pipeline / SURF work scope. With a recognized HSE qualification - NEBOSH diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lead & coordinate HSE investigations to establish Root Causes, preparing & rolling out learnings and conducting detailed HSE Audits.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with contractors and contractor personnel and progress collaborative problem solving.
- Proven team leadership / management experience. Relevant track record in HSE performance related to pipeline / SURF engineering, installation, and pre-commissioning activities.
- Experienced HSE professional able to assess and constructively challenge contractor HSE performance and assist contractor to arrive to best for project outcomes.
- Fluent in the English language and capable to represent the project in front of all stakeholders in a professional and organized manner.
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent is required with sciences or engineering specialism preferred.
- Valid BOSIET and OGUK Offshore Medical certifications.
