Our client, an oil and gas operator, is hiring for a HR Generalist to join the team in Aberdeen on a contract basis.
Role Summary
To provide expert guidance and support on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and fostering a positive workplace environment.

Key responsibilities, tasks and activities
• Provide specialist advice to management and employees on collective employee relations issues.
• Act as a point of contact for employee queries regarding policies and procedures.
• Review and update existing employee relations policies/procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation and best practices.
• Develop new policies as needed, ensuring alignment with values.
• Collaborate with PO network locally and globally as needed to build awareness of policies and pending legislation, eg Harassment.
• Support in the co-ordination of the UK Works Council to drive employee engagement.
• Keep abreast of any changes or developments in UK employment law and update UK PO network.
• Other ad-hoc projects or tasks as needed
Critical Skills and Behaviours
• Strong HR knowledge (CIPD qualification or equivalent)
• Strong competence in Employee Relations
• Experience in supporting offshore/operational teams in addition to onshore teams
• Negotiations and diplomacy skills
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to interact and connect in a global matrix organization.
• A proactive, self-motivated and delivery-oriented team player
• An effective communicator with strong oral and written skills

• Flexible working style and able to take on higher workload in busy periods
