Heavy Diesel Mechanic

• Starting on a contract with full time employment available

NES Fircroft are seeking a trade-qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Mobile Equipment Maintenance team on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off FIFO roster. You’ll be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a fleet of mobile plant and equipment.

Salary & Benefits

• Paying between $90.00/hr - $95.00/hr + super
• Fortnightly pay 
• Short term and long term contracts available
• Goldfields location
• Dedicated NES Fircroft Consultant and Support Staff available throughout your contract.

• Opportunity for additional contracts at the end of your contract due to our large client base.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant Trade Certificate in Heavy Diesel or equivalent.
• Current WA Manual Drivers Licence.
• National Police Clearance 
• Proven experience as a qualified Trades Person.
• Knowledge and versatility across a variety of equipment.
• Basic welding skills would be advantageous.
• Adaptability is essential to the success of the position.
• Highly motivated and the ability to work independently.
• Strong focus on safety.
• Full Australian Work Rights

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and component change outs.
• Work with XCMG and CAT mobile plant & Equipment
• Diagnose faults and complete inspections on heavy mobile equipment.
• Maintain service records in line with site maintenance systems.
• Work closely with the Leading Hand and Supervisors to ensure equipment availability.
• Raising Work requests as and when required to ensure plant reliability.
• To be eligible for consideration all applicants must hold appropriate work rights to work in Australia and be willing to undertake the necessary pre-employment checks which will include a medical and a National Police Check.
