Job Scope Scope (Descripted the role would be accountable for) The HSE Coordinator is responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety and environmental operations and tasks. The HSE Coordinator is the primary contact for employees and supervisors concerning safety-related matters and is responsible risk management activities, industrial hygiene, applicable report writing, industrial HSE compliance auditing, emergency response, HSE training, HSE program development, incident investigation and data trending and analysis Internal Contacts: External Contacts: HSE Head/Manager, Environment Engineer, occupational health Specialist, Safety Division, Project engineers and managers . The Royal Commission and Local Environment Disposal Company. Vendors/Contractors and Consultants. 4. - Actively participate in the development, implementation and review of the Safety Management System (SMS), goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), standards, policies, procedure, programs and training.
- Develop and maintain an effective Contractor Safety Management as per SMS requirements (example; Safety Plans, Training programs, Qualification, Hazard Identification Plans (HIPs), etc...).
- Develop annual safety schedules (Emergency drills, Management safety walkthroughs, and quarterly safety inspections).Coordinate and implement annual HSE planning and performance measurement and reporting
- Develop and maintain contemporary and compliant HSE policies, procedures, and other resources
- Drive process improvement initiatives in support of HSE performance
- Monitor, maintain and report on contractor safety and compliance utilizing systems
- Coordinate the HSE incident record, reporting and investigation framework and provide regular reports to management
- Coordinate internal / external HSE audits and develop plans to action Coordinate statistical analysis and reports of HSE performance
- Conduct visits/Audits to the third party to make sure that follow RC HSE regulations.
- Prepare quarterly and semiannual HSE reports for submittal to RC and coordinate RC annual Audits.
- Assists teams in identifying hazards, assessing risks, and identifying relevant controls to manage and reduce these risks
- Ensure the HSE risk register is monitored, reviewed and reported
- Assist with coordination of the Emergency Management System within the corporation.
- Ensure compliance with RC (Royal Commission) regulatory HSE requirements.
- Participate and represent at HCIS or industry HSE forums, network, special interest groups and internal committees as required.
- Prepare HSE information report to be submitted to lenders annually
- Conduct general Health, Safety, and Environment awareness sessions to all employees.
- Act in a responsible manner in all matters where the environment is impacted by operations
- Ensure reasonable care is taken for own health and safety as well as the health and safety of others, and that no one is adversely affected by workplace activities or omissions
- Training and Certification OSHA is desirable
