We are recruiting for an experienced professional to join a major FPSO conversion project.
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the delivery of marine systems within the hull machinery areas of a VLCC-sized FPSO, working across international locations and contributing to a high-impact offshore development.
Position: FPSO Hull Machinery Areas Delivery Lead Location: Paris (Saint-Quentin) in 2025, then CMHI Shipyard – Nantong, China from January 2026
Start Date: November 2025
Contract Type: 1-year renewable
Work Schedule: Residential – 5 days/week
Role Summary The FPSO Hull Machinery Areas Delivery Lead will oversee the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of marine systems within the hull machinery spaces of a converted VLCC. The role involves supervising contractors, ensuring compliance with technical and HSE standards, and supporting the successful execution of the project.

Role Summary The FPSO Hull Machinery Areas Delivery Lead will oversee the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of marine systems within the hull machinery spaces of a converted VLCC. The role involves supervising contractors, ensuring compliance with technical and HSE standards, and supporting the successful execution of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise marine engineering activities and review technical documentation and drawings.
- Oversee procurement, fabrication, testing, installation, and commissioning of marine equipment.
- Ensure HSE compliance in hull machinery areas (engine room, pump room, aft deck, bosun store).
- Support repair and life extension activities for marine systems.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for technical alignment.
- Review and consolidate comments on engineering deliverables.
- Monitor spare parts strategy and manage technical deviations.
- Provide expertise on FPSO marine systems (offloading, winches, COW, tank blanketing).
- Report critical issues and propose corrective actions.
- Extensive experience in marine systems engineering within Oil & Gas projects.
- Strong background in VLCC/FPSO operations and cargo tanker systems.
- STCW certification preferred.
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English (mandatory).
