Field Operator - Alarm Technician

Main Function:
Operate wells and equipment in accordance with safety and operational procedures to meet daily production goals, minimize equipment failures, and ensure efficient use of resources.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute daily operational tasks with a focus on safety, housekeeping, health, environment, and security.
  • Actively participate in toolbox talks and scheduled safety meetings.
  • Monitor wells and equipment to identify and implement corrective or optimization actions for safe and efficient operations.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks as an Equipment Care Technician.
  • Report any issues with alarms, emergency systems, or shutdown systems.
  • Provide clear and accurate shift handover information to ensure operational continuity.
  • Coordinate and monitor maintenance activities in line with corrective, predictive, and preventive plans.
  • Maintain detailed logbook entries of operational events, abnormalities, and deviations.
  • Collect product samples for lab analysis and conduct basic field tests.
  • Participate in emergency response activities and report incidents per company guidelines.
  • Maintain open communication with the Operations Shift Supervisor and team members.
  • Diagnose well production issues and ensure thorough evaluation before requesting intervention.
  • Ensure wellhead and surface equipment are in proper condition prior to Wellwork operations.
  • Support ongoing Wellwork operations as needed.
Preferred Experience:
  • Process operations (non-refinery) and upstream production from the wellhead.
  • Field experience in regions such as West Texas, New Mexico, Bakken (ND), or Oklahoma.
  • Production, midstream, tank battery, compressor station, or onshore field operations.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Field Technician.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of pipeline operations and safety management systems.
  • Familiarity with emergency preparedness procedures and project design specifications.
  • Understanding of relevant regulations and commercial agreements.
