Vice President Operations
The Vice President Operations is responsible for leading the overall operational strategy, performance, and integrity of the company’s operations This role oversees offshore and onshore production operations, facilities, maintenance, engineering, and HSE functions to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of natural gas to market. The Vice President Operations provides strategic direction, ensures operational excellence, drives continuous improvement, and leads all project planning and execution. The role partners closely with senior leadership to shape long-term operational plans, capital programs, and organizational capability to support sustainable operations and production.

Vice President Operations

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Operations Excellence
- Leads all operations across offshore platform, subsea/flowline system, and central processing facilities.
- Develop and execute the company’s operations strategy including asset integrity, maintenance, and reliability.
- Establish operational KPIs and ensure assets operate safely, efficiently, and within corporate performance targets.
- Drive continuous improvement in production optimization, maintenance systems, and operational processes.
HSE & Regulatory Governance
- Set the organizational HSE framework, policies, and culture, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee incident response readiness, environmental stewardship programs, audits, and enterprise-level risk management.
- Engage directly with regulators, agencies, stakeholders, and industry bodies to represent operations and ensure compliance.
Leadership & Organizational Development
- Foster a high-performance culture emphasizing safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure field leadership and operators have clear priorities, adequate resources, and strong alignment with corporate goals.
- Guide the scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of major facility upgrades, drilling/workover programs, and infrastructure improvements.
- Provide executive-level oversight of project governance, ensuring cost control, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure robust asset integrity programs, including mechanical integrity, corrosion management, structural inspections, and reliability engineering.
- Oversee operational risk assessments, emergency preparedness, and business continuity planning.
- Drive reliability improvements in critical systems to ensure production continuity and minimize downtime.
- Work closely with executive leadership on corporate planning, budgeting, and long-range development scenarios.
- Prepare and deliver operational updates to senior leadership, external stakeholders and regulators..
- Support commercial, financial, and technical teams in evaluating new opportunities, acquisitions, or operational expansions.
- 20+ years of relevant oil and gas experience with increasing leadership responsibility across operations, engineering, and asset management.
- Extensive background in upstream or integrated upstream–midstream operations, including offshore or remote-field environments.
- Proven track record managing large operations teams, complex facilities, and multi-million-dollar capital and operating budgets.
- Deep knowledge of HSE leadership, regulatory frameworks, environmental compliance, and risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing organizations and mentor senior operations leaders.
- Strong strategic, financial, and analytical skills with experience in long-term operational planning.
- Excellent communication skills and experience interfacing with executives, regulators, and external stakeholders.
