As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Field Engineer – Insulation with experience in onshore or offshore projects.
The project is led from Stord.
 
Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
 

What will you be doing?

  • Assist the production with solving of technical problems during the execution of building- or installation work at a construction site.
  • Assist the production with interpretation of drawings and job packages.
  • Support Fabrication Engineering with technical documentation and solutions.
  • Continually strive for good HSSE and quality performance throughout the work.
  • Seek for continual improvement of work processes and products within own responsibility area.
  • Contribute to interface up against relevant disciplines, Fabrication Engineering, planning department and production etc.
  • Establish and follow up technical queries and seek Construction Friendly solutions.
 
Qualifications we think you should have:
  • Theoretical knowledge and understanding of Piping & Equipment Insulation work and requirements.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or technician with relevant skills. Relevant experience may make up for formal education.
  • Approximately 3-5 years relevant experience. Frosio level III certified experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable project documents, standards, and specifications.
  • Fluent English - written and verbal communication.
  • Good collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong work ethics and proactive attitude.
  • Knowledge of how to use MIPS, CCS, 3D, and 2D-CAD programs.
