NES Fircroft are currently partnered with an Oil & Gas industry giant who are looking to add an Engineering Coordinator to join their team working on a major offshore development.
The role will be to work for our clients team in Paris. It will be a contract based role for an initial 12 months duration to work Monday – Friday full time in Paris.
Day rate on offer will be attractive and this role offers an excellent chance to join a major Oil & Gas operator during the FEED phase of this project.
Role overview
The service holder is responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities that could be necessary during the Life of Project and FEED activities up to the close out.
Activities
HSE :
• Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regards to
HSE in accordance with his role
• Communicate, promote, and apply the HSE policies of the Company and Project Technical Referential to
Contractor and ensure the FEED is developed accordingly.
Engineering:
• Reporting to Engineering Manager.
• Ensure the proper technical definition of FEED Engineering studies.
• Ensure the correct definition of the reference framework applicable to the studies, in coherence with the desired class of estimate
• Ensure the relevance of the list of deliverables expected at the end of the study, make any revision of this list approved by lead disciplines engineers and update the document review distribution matrix accordingly
• Follow / supervise engineering studies in line with safety engineering requirements
• Evaluate the technical and organizational aspect of Contractors' offers and provide clarifications to technical queries
• Coordinate the engineering disciplines within HQ to ensure that all studies are adequately addressed and properly engineered, participate in technical reviews
• Monitor and Report on FEED Contractor engineering work performed, highlighting critical issues and potential changes to basis for design, as early as possible, anticipate problems, and propose mitigations & remedial actions.
• Create a proactive and efficient relationship with the FEED contractor on a day-to-day basis
• Supervise the FEED Contractor overall activities and ensure their compliance with project specifications, schedule, budget and safety practices
• Provide, in close coordination with the Customer Line, the FEED Contractor with specific instructions wherever required for the good execution of the Project
• Participate in technical reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, workshops, ad hoc meeting as appropriate
• Ensure, in close coordination with the Customer Line, the FEED Contractor engineering design consistency, optimization, operability, flexibility and constructability which implies engineering inter-disciplines check/management
• Ensure the timely review of the FEED contractor deliverables by Project team and approve those he is in charge of or for which an arbitration or a decision might be required, based on the inputs from the discipline leaders
• Be accountable for the timely review of the FEED contractor engineering documents, approve discipline deliverables he is in charge of or for which an arbitration or a decision might be required
• Carry out or participate in the Value Engineering necessary to optimize the technical engineering file, make it coherent before entering the FEED or EPC phases
• Ensure completeness of FEED Final Dossier
• Initiate and coordinate dedicated studies, workshops and technical reviews with the support of discipline Engineers
• Identify, monitor and expedite interfaces with other packages (if any) development that may affect the project planning and the plant integrity/operability
• Promote proven engineering solutions to ensure the safety, operation and maintenance of facilities; support innovative solutions when they lead to CAPEX and/or OPEX optimizations
• Ensure any technical query and deviation requests are accurately monitored, replied to, and expedited in an appropriate timeframe
Be responsible for the proper implementation of the Digital twin / digital asset digital tool within the project scope
• Ensure the final documentation is correctly finalized according to latest engineering studies performed, punchlist review included
• Ensure Document Control good practices are in place
• Ensure that REX are taken into account and shared
CONTRACTS:
• Identify any discrepancy, request for derogation, to the applicable standards in order to guarantee that the studies are carried out in compliance with the requirements and specifications of the project
• Contribute to the preparation of Execution Contract and associated Exhibits and participate to the clarifications phase
Qualifications & Experience Required
• Qualification: Chartered Engineer or equivalent
• Languages: English mandatory
• Professional Experience: 10-15 years’ experience in Oil & Gas Industry or Construction field
• Experience in similar position: +10 years
