As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for:
Engineer - Commissioning - Mech./Piping/Safety/HVAC with experience in onshore or offshore projects.
This position is based in Verdal and follows a 14/21 rotation schedule. Travel and accommodation will be provided for each rotation. The project is expected to continue until May.
Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

What will you be doing?
- Develop and provide input for commissioning test procedures
- Participate in creating plant start-up and performance test procedures
- Contribute to governing documents and work instructions for the execution phase
- Define temporary systems, test equipment, special tools, consumables, and first fills
- Evaluate commissioning and operation spares
- Plan and budget for own activities
- Participate in engineering design reviews and vendor FATs
- Prepare commissioning scope and work packages in PCS
- Perform system punch-out and MC handover activities
- Execute commissioning activities and update status in PCS
- Report progress and manage change control
- Conduct system take-over, start-up, and performance test activities
- Supervise commissioning assistance and vendor personnel
Qualifications we think you should have:
- Good knowledge of work processes within the discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in EPC processes within New Build/Renewables segments
- Software skills: MIPS, MS Office 365, PCS (Pims, ProCoSys), Autodesk Simulate
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Strong communication skills
- HSSE mindset
- Teamwork skills
- Technical/Bachelor’s degree (relevant work experience can compensate for lack of education)
