NES Fircroft are delighted to be working with a major Oil & Gas Operator who are currently looking for an Emergency Response Coach to be based in Algeria on a 12 month renewable contract. Working pattern for this role is 28x28.

1. Roles & responsibilities
- Report directly to Intervention Team Leader.
- Coach Firefighting teams.
- Deliver aviation training aligned with Unit AFF1-12 / CAP 699, including live-fire training (Aircraft simulator is available at site).
- Develop/update aviation emergency response plans and instructions.
- Develop/Update and audit the ERP Documents.
- Assess firefighting team competencies and create tailored training plans.
- Deliver theoretical and practical training for Firefighting Teams (FFT), focusing on:
- Industrial Firefighting: Techniques for hydrocarbon facilities
- Aircraft rescue/firefighting operations: Prepare and conduct full-scale aircraft firefighting and rescue operations.
- Confined space rescue: Provide practical training on hazards, self-rescue techniques, SCBA use, and crawl technique…
- Rescue from height: Train in rescue techniques from height.
- Chemical spill response: Techniques for containing and controlling hazardous spills
- Road traffic accidents: Training in response techniques and use of extrication equipment.
- Offer specialized guidance on emergency response equipment selection and usage.
- Provide support and advice to emergency response teams during real emergency situation.
- Plan, organize, and implement table-top exercises and drills for emergency response teams.
- Fire and Rescue Training: Qualifications in industrial & airfield firefighting,
- Specialized Emergency Training: Advanced skills in areas like hazardous materials (HAZMAT) response, confined space rescue, or rescue from height are highly valued
- Emergency Management Certification: Certifications like Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), or equivalent safety and risk management qualifications.
- Health and Safety Certifications: HSE-related certifications, such as OSHA or NEBOSH, are highly valued.
- Practical Emergency Response: Hands-on experience ten (10) years minimum in emergency response roles, such as a first responder, firefighter, ideally with leadership responsibilities.
- Airfield and Oil & Gas industry: Have wide experience and expertise in airfield and Oil & Gas industry firefighting services
- Training and Coaching: experience as a trainer and coach in firefighting & emergency response.
- Incident Command System (ICS): Experience working within the ICS or similar frameworks for structured emergency response.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment.
- Communication: Ability to instruct clearly, command attention, and manage coordination during drills (Arabic speaker is an advantage).
- Decision-Making: Quick and effective decision-making skills in complex situation.
- Advanced pedagogical skills: Facilitate training sessions using appropriate pedagogical methods.
