My client, a large Engineering company, is currently seeking an Electrical Designer for their Long Beach office. This will be for my client's Power Distribution Group working on oil and gas/refinery projects. Previous oil and gas/refinery experience is preferred.
Requirements/Expectations:
Experience in power systems design and intimate knowledge of the NEC including:
a. Ampacity and cable sizing calculations
b. Cable tray sizing
c. Ground conductor sizing
d. Hazardous Area Classification
Ability to assemble electrical construction packages including:
a. Single Line Diagrams
b. Equipment Layout
c. Conduit/Cable Routing and Schedule
d. LV and MV motor and breaker control schematics
e. Electrical Details
f. Panel schedule
g. Lighting Plans Obtain field experience during construction and cutover
Additional Required Skills:
Being skilled with AutoCAD and preferably Revit Being skilled in creating and modifying PDF files Being proficient with MS-Excel and word
