The Opportunity:
 
NES Fircroft are partnering with a global resources client who are an Electrical & Instrumentation Trainer to join their training department attached to their site operations. This is an ongoing contract which is expected to run for at least 12 months, with the potential for extension tied to pipeline of work.
 
The Role:
 
Site-based role Monday to Friday 40-hour week based in the southern suburbs in Perth. This role is critical to the rollout of training material related to electrical & training scopes of work for operators, technicians and tradespeople on site. Duties and responsibilities will include:
 
  • Training and guiding diverse EI trades teams consisting of EI tradespersons, and EI trade assistants, to reach their full potential, aligned to high standards of safety and work practices at all times,
  • Training and guiding Non-Electrical teams consisting of Operators, Mechanical personnel in Electrical Safety practices.
  • Delivering Critical Instrumentation Maintenance Training,
  • Scheduling of training for all WA sites
 
The Requirements:
  • An Electrical or Electrical/Instrumentation trade background (or equivalent) and hold a current ‘A’ Grade Electrical license.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessing or working towards gaining it.
  • Well-developed leadership and communication skills to assist with co-ordinating EI Training, negotiate issues and prioritise workload with your peers, other supervisory staff, and operations management.
  • High level use of Office 365 suite.
  • Able to self-manage time and coordinate booking and scheduling of training.
  • Valid WA drivers’ licence
 
The Benefits:
  • Ongoing work for a reputable global mining operator. 12 months initially with high likelihood of rolling extension.
  • Monday to Friday Perth based, home every night. 8 hour days, day shift only.
  • Competitive pay rate circa $70 - $75 per hour + super
