About You |
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, mathematics, statistics, machine learning, or a related field.
  • Experience (3+ years) in data science and AI solution system development in the mining, energy, green energy, or heavy industrial operations preferred.
  • Full working rights for Australia – due to in office presence, Perth based candidates preferred.
Required Skills |
  • Strong understanding and practical experience in statistics and machine learning, including causal inference and experimental design.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and machine learning frameworks (e.g TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Strong background in AI/ML techniques, including NLP (traditional and LLMs), computer vision and predictive analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of data science tools and technologies, including programming languages such as Python and the use of Git.
  • Experience in platforms such as Snowflake, S3 and Databricks/SageMaker (beneficial).
  • Familiar with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure (beneficial).
  • Experience with software development industry best practices.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both multi-disciplinary product teams and to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to monitor and leverage emerging technologies to drive innovation.
