Senior Data Engineer – 9 Months Contract – Gentofte, Denmark
Hybrid 2 days on site, 3 days remote

Description
For the agile release train, SMART PLANT, we need a consultant that can work on our product portfolio that operates and develops products for our power plants. You’ll be part of an Agile Release Train where you, together with your colleagues, will be part of a scrum team and build the foundation for a future where predictive maintenance is providing increased value to our bioenergy division. The team consists of employees in Denmark and Malaysia and is part of a large global IT organization working with a SAFe agile mindset.
You’ll play an important role in:
1. Data Architecture and Modeling: Design and implement scalable data architectures. Develop and maintain data models to support analytics and reporting.
2. ETL Processes: Design, develop, and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
3. Data Integration Tools: Experience with data integration tools such as Talend or similar for building and managing ETL workflows.
4. Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C#. Experience with scripting languages for automation and data manipulation.
5. Database Management: Expertise in SQL databases. Experience with data warehousing solutions.
6. Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud services for data storage and processing.
7. Data Security and Compliance: Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
8. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot data-related issues. Ability to optimize data processes for efficiency and performance.
9. Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
10. Operating Systems: Familiarity with Linux and other operating systems for managing data operations.
11. .NET Framework: Experience with the .NET framework for developing data-related applications and services.
12. CI/CD Pipelines: Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines to automate data workflows and application deployments.
13. Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile environments, participating in sprints, and adapting to iterative development processes

- working with complex datasets to be presented in a structured way to the business
- defining data models
- ensuring that data format and storage options are the best fit for end-user needs
- optimising data pipelines performance and security.
