Our client, a Perth based Tier One Mining Operator, is looking for the next Data Analyst to join them on a 12-month contract basis.
A crucial element of the role will require the candidate to rely on their skills within PowerApps, Power Automate Flow, Excel scripting, DAX, Power Query, PowerBI and SQL Server including data modelling, stored procedures and views.
This is a key role for the engineering function and will involve working with engineering service providers and engineering teams to capture data, create reports and facilitate custom database queries from the database.

About the Role |
We are looking for a seasoned Data Analyst who has experience with the Microsoft suite: Especially the Applications Power Apps, SQL Server and Power BI. This is a new initiative that is being rolled out by the client following a successful ‘Proof of Concept’. We are looking for a person to bring value to this new process with technical and analytical skills, including process and system improvement given the early stage of deployment.
The role also requires good communication skills as effective interface to our multiple external engineering service providers is required.

About You |
  • Full working rights for Australia – Perth based candidates preferred due to in office presence.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Good communication skills with an ability to influence key stakeholders and maintain a network of contacts across a global portfolio.
  • Proven use of database tools and associated ingestion and reporting project experience including problem solving capability.
  • Competent with the use of PowerApps, Power Automate Flow, Excel scripting, DAX, Power Query, PowerBI and SQL Server including data modelling, stored procedures and views.
  • A flexible work approach including some domestic and international travel.
It will also be beneficial if you have:
  • Had exposure to project functions and understand their roles, for example Project Controls, Estimating, Scheduling and Data Management etc.
  • Had involvement in projects during design or other stages with exposure to project and engineering performance.
