NES Fircroft are working with Chevron Australia seeking a Cultural Heritage Advisor to join their team.  


Position: Cultural Heritage Advisor  

Location: Perth CBD (Elizabeth Quay)  

Contract Length: 12 months Hours / Roster: Monday to Friday CWW (9 hour days, 9 day fortnight)  


In this position, you will be part of the Cultural Heritage team who ensure Chevron operations comply with cultural heritage legislation and guidelines, including the Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972 (WA) and other applicable legislation and regulations. The team ensures the protection and management of heritage values through the implementation and management of our Cultural Heritage Management System.  



The role:  

• Support the implementation and ongoing management of the cultural heritage management system across  

our operations.  

• Providing expert advice and support to internal stakeholders regarding cultural heritage protection and  

management for our major capital projects and our operating assets.  

• Support the planning and implementation of heritage surveys and studies across our business operations  

• Monitoring and auditing heritage management activities to ensure compliance and continuous  

improvement.  

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Traditional Owners through organising and facilitating on  

country activities.  

• Assist in the delivery of approvals to meet statutory obligations and support the management of heritage  

and environmental values  



About You:  

• A relevant qualification and experience or demonstrated work history in cultural heritage management.  

• Experience in successfully undertaking heritage surveys and working closely with Traditional Owners on  

country.  

• Experience in maintaining and implementing cultural heritage protection and management procedures.  

• Support the delivery of heritage due diligence and compliance reporting for operations.  

• Proficient in the use of GIS and other relevant software for heritage assessments and data management.  

• Demonstrated experience working within a complex stakeholder environment.  

• Good working knowledge of relevant federal and state heritage legislation and experience in obtaining  

Aboriginal heritage approvals.
