NES Fircroft Permanent Placement division is looking for an Upstream Contracts and Procurement Manager based in Dubai.
Our client, a UAE local operator, to provide a consistent and secure supply of energy as well as generate growth and revenue.
Your role:
This role is to procure and contract efficiently and timely all material and service needs for our client.

Your role:
This role is to procure and contract efficiently and timely all material and service needs for our client.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop, lead & execute Contracts & Procurement Strategies in collaboration with department heads and internal subject matter experts including Legal and Compliance, Finance, Operations and HSE.
- In collaboration with the Legal Department, develop contracting principles on key matters of concerns for consistency between key stakeholders and develop the client position.
- Track and report Key functional metrics to ensure effectiveness of the C&P department.
- Drive cost efficiencies in the organization (define and monitor).
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of the C&P dept. and focus on team accomplishments, corporate KPIs, department KPIs and roadmap.
- Provides guidance for Co-workers as needed and approves training opportunities
- In collaboration with department heads and internal subject matter experts including Legal and Compliance, Finance, Operations and HSE, develop and maintain negotiation strategies and advise way forward plans to the team prior to finalization of Contracts.
- Review of Cost Analysis (PO’s & Contracts) and recommend the best Practices/T&C’s to ensure effective cost Control, smooth execution of Contract.
- Ensure contracts are put in place within an agreed up to SLA period.
- Monitor key stats for the department including tender committee processing times, RTP value and volume stats etc.
- Ensure standardisation of processes including SOP, tender committee documents etc.
- Review processes continuously for streamlining, LEAN initiatives and technology improvements.
- Create initiatives to take advantage of market opportunities, reduce operational threats, forestall business risks and maximise core strengths.
- Liaisons with Management team to ensure all efforts are in alignment.
- Comply with Company policies including ABC and Contracting Principles.
- Ensure records management in line with client policies and Legal and Compliance Department guidance.
- Cost Saving focus.
- Graduate of Engineering or Business-related degree
- 15+ years of experience in UPSTREAM C&P roles.
- Industrial Professional Experience
