Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Conformance Specialist (CCS) based out of Calgary or Edmonton to support capital and maintenance projects.
This role is responsible for managing sourcing and contract administration duties across complex, multi-year projects.
The CCS will ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled, working closely with both internal teams and external contractors to facilitate the resolution of contract-related matters in a timely and compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage contractual documentation and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support project teams in preparing purchase orders, contract exhibits, scopes of work, pricing, and special conditions.
  • Assist in the drafting of technical contractual language and incorporate contractor clarifications and project-specific requirements.
  • Support negotiations during the bidding and contract formation phases.
  • Maintain documentation logs, issue formal correspondence, and ensure compliance with contract terms.
  • Manage the change order process including tracking, evaluation, and approval.
  • Review contractor invoices for contractual compliance.
  • Assist in contract close-out and ensure proper retention of all documentation in line with company procedures.
  • Provide input during compliance audits and support training efforts for internal and external stakeholders on contract administration processes.
  • Maintain frequent communication with the Contract & Sourcing Administration team lead or supervisor, including regular status updates.
Qualifications Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, business, legal, or a related technical field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
    OR
  • Associate degree with 7–10 years of experience in contract administration, engineering, legal, or construction within the energy or infrastructure sector.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
  • In-depth knowledge of construction contracts and industry practices.
  • Familiarity with project execution contracting strategies and documentation.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Oracle.
  • Proven experience in managing complex contract issues and supporting negotiations.
  • Ability to interpret and enforce contract terms, ensuring compliance at all phases of the project.
