Job Opportunity: Contract Administrator Services

Project: transforming refinery site into a zero-oil platform
Duration: 1 year, renewable

About the Role:
This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth execution of construction contracts and involves a variety of administrative and negotiation tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue kick-off Minutes of Meeting (MoM) with Construction Contractors.
  • Manage the administration of Construction Contracts, including filing correspondence and preparing responses.
  • Analyze and validate documents provided by Construction Contractors for Variation Requests/Proposals.
  • Negotiate compensation requests and settle claims with Construction Contractors.
  • Prepare amendments/variations to Construction Contracts for approval.
  • Update the Variations Log weekly for all Construction Contractors.
  • Prepare Notices of Default for misperformance or non-performance.
  • Notify Construction Contractors of Liquidated Damages (LDs) as instructed.
  • Review pro-forma invoices and facilitate their issuance upon milestone achievements.
  • Update the invoices Log weekly for all Construction Contractors.
  • Prepare MoMs for various meetings and attend project execution meetings.
  • Ensure administrative and financial closure of Construction Contracts upon Provisional Acceptance.
  • Store contract administration documents in the project SharePoint.
Education/Training:

  • Preferably an engineering degree with extensive experience in contract administration (more than 5 years).
  • Fluent in French and English (verbal and written).
Knowledge/Experience:

  • Solid experience in a similar role within a SITE construction, especially in an international context.
  • Familiarity with Construction Contracts (Civil Works, Mechanical, E&I) and ability to interpret them correctly.
  • Proven experience in negotiating variations and claims with Construction Contractors.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a project team.
  • Self-confident, strong interpersonal skills, good sense of priorities, adaptable, organized, and rigorous.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple subjects efficiently.
