We are working with Woodside, recruiting for a Competency Assurance Specialist to join them on an initial 12month contract. This role is to provide Competency Assurance expertise and support to Operations and other functions, acting as a key interface to internal and external stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Champion HSEQ standards across Woodside and contractor teams, promoting a strong safety culture and adherence to the Golden Safety Rules.
  • Lead training planning and forecasting for operational assets, including budget management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts with strategic training partners to ensure service delivery aligns with operational needs.
  • Oversee end-to-end training service requests, including scheduling, competency validation, LMS updates, and invoice processing.
  • Implement and maintain competency frameworks in the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring alignment with role profiles.
  • Conduct governance activities and maintain audit-ready records of training and competency evidence.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support workforce competency and resolve complex competency-related queries.
  • Maintain and enhance competency tools (e.g. SuccessFactors, Jira) and collaborate with SMEs to update learning profiles and assessment tools.
Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in a service delivery or learning and development function within a large organisation.
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably SuccessFactors.
  • Strong understanding of the AQTF national competency framework and regulatory training requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability in resource planning, vendor management, and training needs analysis.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confident in influencing and collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a learning and development team or similar in a large organization (resource industry preferred).
  • TAESS00001 - Assessor Skill Set desirable.
