We are currently recruiting a Commissioning Lead for a Global Oil & Gas EPCI to be based in Chennai, India for 3 months before transitioning to a Perth CBD office role for 12 months before transitioning to a rostered position (20:8) out of Karratha.

The successful candidate must have knowledge of Australian regulations on the West Australian Oil & Gas Regulations & correlated Permit Requirements (a must experience)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the accurate and timely management of all necessary permits to support the project's completion phases, with particular emphasis on the Commissioning and Start-up stages.
  • Extensive knowledge of Australian regulations and permits relevant to the Oil & Gas industry, particularly for the Commissioning and Start-Up phases.
  • Monitor that deliverables from Engineering and Procurement align with Australian standards and compliance.
  • Support the Construction and Commissioning teams in developing schedules and strategies to optimize time, cost, and resources.
  • Support equipment inspection, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and quality inspections when equipment arrives on-site.
  • Create detailed designs and specifications for process /commissioning packages, including enclosures, mounting systems, and component integration, ensuring designs meet Australian performance, reliability, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders, especially EP package managers, construction managers, quality personnel, and completion personnel.
  • A combination of an engineering background (OEM or EPC) with a history of field service or site experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry Safety Standards and Requirements.
  • Knowledge of PC, Windows, Office Software and IT implementation background.
  • Capable to read, interpret & prepare applicable technical information.
  • Must be willing to travel internationally occasionally (Chennai, India)
Qualification & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical / mechanical engineering (preferable).
  • Have experience working and interfacing with Permit Regulators.
  • Have work experience with international main Oil & Gas EPC company.
  • Knowledge on the West Australian Oil & Gas Regulations & correlated Permit Requirements
