Our Calibration Laboratory is dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and reliability for a range of sophisticated equipment, including Tritech Bathymetric systems, Valeport SVX2, Valeport MiniSVS, Valeport MiniIPS, Valeport CTD, Valeport Midas WLR, and Valeport Mini SVS/P, Paroscientific Depth Sensors and Sonardyne Compatts.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Calibration Engineer to join our Calibration Lab team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing precise calibration, testing, and maintenance of various underwater sensors and instruments. This role requires a strong understanding of calibration processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work with advanced technical equipment.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Calibration Engineer to join our Calibration Lab team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing precise calibration, testing, and maintenance of various underwater sensors and instruments. This role requires a strong understanding of calibration processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work with advanced technical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- To efficiently perform calibration and testing of a wide range of instruments. Typically this will include the calibration of Depth sensors, Conductivity sensors, Temperature sensors and Sound Velocity sensors from equipment manufacturers such as Valeport, Tritech, Paroscientific, and Sonardyne.
- To be proficient in the use of specialized calibration equipment and software to ensure instruments meet industry standards and specifications.
- To accurately document calibration results and maintain accurate records in compliance with quality assurance protocols.
- To troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instruments, providing solutions and repairs as necessary.
- To collaborate with engineering and technical teams to improve calibration processes and methodologies.
- To ensure the Calibration Lab is maintained in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to calibration and underwater instrumentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related field; with testing and maintenance of electronic instruments, preferably in the marine or subsea industry.
- Familiarity with Tritech, Valeport and Sonardyne products is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using calibration tools and software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
