Our client, a Perth based Tier One Mining Operator, is looking for the next Business Partner Spatial – GIS to join them on a 12-month contract basis.
This key role for the function will see you deliver GIS support and partner with the business to execute fit for purpose GIS solutions that contribute to business performance. If you are someone who is a team player with a  personality to engage and lend assistance, keep reading.  

About the Role |
You will be responsible for aligning the Geographic Information System (GIS) objectives to the business and consult on all GIS issues. This includes establishment and maintenance of foundational master spatial data throughout the business.
  • The role acts as a link between the operations and the central team - providing the central team oversight on operational activities.
  • Audit and maintain authoritative spatial datasets across the business.
  • Assist in documentation of the spatial architecture, ensuring that all documents are managed and stored according to business quality requirements.
  • Responsive to differing demands across the operations and functions.
  • Assist with some training delivery requirements.
 
About You |
  • Full working rights for Australia – Perth based candidates preferred due to in office presence.
  • Tertiary qualification in spatial sciences (cartography or GIS) or database/IT or extensive demonstrated industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years mining industry exposure.
  • Demonstrated experience working with GIS data structures, relational databases, system interfacing and associated system design.
  • Experience in system troubleshooting, incident management, configuration management, system testing and enhancements and providing application support to end users.
  • Practical experience working with spatial manipulation tools including FME Workbench and/or FME Server to identify, analyse, report and manage data.
  • Must have experience with the ESRI stack, preferably ArcGIS Server (Enterprise Geodatabase) and ER Mapper, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, Apollo Image Web Server.
  • SQL and database administration skills including data modelling.
