Our client is a premier provider of midstream energy logistic services in the Austin Chalk (TX), South Texas, Williston (ND), Powder River (WY) and DJ (CO) basins, has a permanent opportunity for a Business Development Manager to be based in Houston, TX.

With opportunities on the horizon in the US, our client is looking to scale up their logistics operations from the current daily revenue of $1.5MM/mo. to a target of $2.5MM/mo. We are seeking a high performing individual with a strong history of fostering business relationships, a business-minded acumen, and the desire and motivation to work with others to advance the company’s growth to the next level.

Position Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for creating a pipeline of new business opportunities in the Oil & Gas Crude Oil Trucking sector for the Oil Field Services Division of Rocky Mountain Crude Oil (RMCO). This includes opening new client opportunities for RMCO. You should have a proven track record of building business in the areas of Crude Oil Trucking in the areas in which we operate. Your experience should include identification of prospective clients and their decision makers and building relationships with them, development of tailored marketing/sales strategy, creating proposals with the support of a cross-functional team, engaging with RMCO personnel to present these proposals and win new business.

Responsibilities
  • Develop opportunities in crude oil and gas condensate trucking in South Texas, East Texas, North Dakota (Bakken), Montana, Wyoming and Colorado.
  • Finding opportunities in the transportation & logistics of crude, refined products, natural gas/natural gas liquids.
  • Build relationships with key influencers/ decision makers at target prospects.
  • Ability to understand/ learn, represent, and sell-in the full suite of RMCO services that are offered.
  • Cultivate business relationships through networking, industry events and outbound marketing campaigns.
  • Successful track record (5+ years) of building business relationships within Oil & Gas Midstream Logistics marketplace.
  • Strong familiarity with the Oil & Gas business landscape, networking organizations & business community.
  • Strong existing network of senior business relationships that can be leveraged for business development.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, be self-driven and drive business opportunities towards an outcome.
  • Follow the latest industry developments and stay up to date on corporate competitors, locations of projects, pricing, etc.
  • Understand the target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts, and which market strategies can be used to attract clients
  • Research prospective new clients in targeted markets and tenaciously pursue leads and follow through to a successful conclusion.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of demonstrated sales experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Extensive industry connections with prospective clients and associates.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent business ethics.
  • Positive, professional attitude.
  • Proficient in MS Office & Outlook and CRMs.
  • Have a proven record of developing and expanding business relationships.
  • Willingness to travel:  25+% (Preferred)
