About the Role:
NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Bench Coordinator to join a major mining project in PNG. This role plays a vital part in overseeing bench operations, drill & blast coordination, and fleet management, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining strict safety and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Supervise drill, blast, load, and haul operations on the mining bench.
✅ Ensure safety compliance, hazard identification, and risk management.
✅ Work closely with dispatch, operators, and supervisors to manage fleet movements.
✅ Oversee blast preparation, bench stability, and ground support.
✅ Troubleshoot and resolve operational delays and bottlenecks.
✅ Provide real-time reporting on production progress.
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Proven experience in open-pit mining operations (drill & blast, load & haul).
✔ Strong understanding of mine plans, fleet management, and production scheduling.
✔ Familiarity with mine safety regulations, risk management, and hazard controls.
✔ Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
✔ Experience with Fleet Management Systems (e.g., MineStar, Modular, PitRam) is advantageous.
