Aviation Infrastructure Engineer
Our client, a world-leading Oil, Gas and Energy company, is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Aviation Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Wellington.
This highly technical role requires a skilled engineer to manage and oversee key projects within the business, particularly in the area of Joint User Hydrant Installation (JUHI). If you have a passion for aviation infrastructure and engineering project management, we’d love to hear from you.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Joint User Hydrant Installation (JUHI) OPEX & CAPEX projects, ensuring compliance with OIMS, CIMS, PQMS, JIG and AQUA
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, safety, and resources to meet project objectives
  • Identify risks, develop assessments, and ensure safe project delivery.
  • Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and finalise contracts.
  • Inspect Aviation Infrastructure for JIG and AQUA compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues, ensuring fuel quality and soak test compliance.
  • Manage stakeholder and contractor communication, ensuring alignment and compliance.
  • Provide project updates and collaborate on capital expenditure budgeting.
 
Qualifications and Experience requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Proven technical experience in managing JUHI projects with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
  • Extensive knowledge of JIG, AQUA, and OIMS systems.
  • Proficiency in Work Control Procedures & Permit processes
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate with multiple teams efficiently
  • Strong financial acumen to manage budgets and cost controls
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly
