AIRPORT MECHANICAL OFFICER
(National – Site Based)
Some of your duties will include:
  • Capable to operate and maintain traction and equipment.
  • Repair traction and equipment and to analyze disturbances/damages and make steps to repair of it.
  • Able to plan/design the installation or change of traction equipment systems; and evaluate the performance of traction and equipment.
  • Ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of mechanical systems and equipment at the airport.
  • Maintain and repair a range of mechanical systems, including but not limited to air conditioning, heating, ventilation, baggage handling systems, and various other airport machinery
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment, including HVAC systems, baggage handling systems, escalators, elevators, and other machinery.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions. This includes analyzing malfunction reports and performing corrective actions.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and airport-specific protocols. Maintain records of maintenance activities and repairs
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts and tools. Place orders for parts and supplies as needed, ensuring that inventory is stocked and organized
  • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of system upgrades and improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Able to operate and maintain water and pump system equipment.
  • Able to plan/design the installation or change of water and pump system equipment
What skills and experience do you need?
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years proven experience in mechanical maintenance and repair, preferably in an airport or similar large-scale facility. Knowledge of airport-specific systems is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as HVAC certification, electrical licensing, or other mechanical trade certifications are advantageous.
  • Have a safety awareness certificate.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various environmental conditions. Good manual dexterity and vision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact professionally with staff and contractors.
