Due to the increase in autonomous vehicles used in the mining industry, NES Fircroft are recruiting Autonomous Fleet Specialists to join the team with one of the biggest names in WA mining.
These positions are starting on a contract, with the opportunity to move into FTE.

Responsibilities of this role consists of but are not limited to the below:
  • Diagnosis and troubleshooting of Automation/Technology systems
  • Investigate and lead the execution of optimization projects focused on the customer use of AHS and other technologies.
  • Participate in product development and improvement activities focused around the AHS system and its integration with other mining systems and processes
  • Supports and facilitates autonomous system incident investigations, assisting by providing system expertise, identification of improvement initiatives and robust corrective actions
  • Interpret operational requirements to AHS engineering support teams for the purpose of issue resolution and R&D.
  • Provide technical input where necessary in relation to change management
  • Present as customers single point of contact on site for AHS related queries and decision making where required 
  • Participate in the creation of training documentation, and best practices and processes.
  • Other reporting to internal and external stakeholders where required 
 
The successful applicant will possess:
  • Excellent overall troubleshooting skills including but not limited to control systems, mechanical, electrics, hydraulic and technology aspects of mining equipment.
  • Meticulous and methodical execution with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Relevant Heavy Diesel or Auto Electrician trade or tertiary qualification/s.
  • Strong electrical, hydraulic, and/or mechanical background.
  • Experience with IT networking protocols, administration, monitoring, and support
  • Commitment to providing quality customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexibility to travel and adapt to various roster arrangements.
  • Valid drivers license and able to obtain a National Police Clearance
  • Full Australian work rights - no sponsorship available for this role
