As one of the world’s most competitive energy sources, energy generated from wind has a key role to play in net zero.
We understand the industry is looking for the next generation of talent to ensure it embraces the opportunities provided by new technologies to repower, retrofit and extend the life of current assets.
With wind power capacity expected to reach 2 TW as quickly as 2030, you need a staffing partner with a depth of expertise, global network and local market knowledge that can deliver a complete wind workforce solution.

We will deploy technical expertise to your wind project from more experienced geographies
Whilst the offshore wind market is booming, the sector remains relatively in its infancy in some areas, with experienced talent pools located in differing geographies to that of the project. With our global office network and established candidate pools, NES Fircroft has helped service companies, developers and manufacturers to mitigate challenges posed by the limitations of local talent pools and developing infrastructures.
We have opened an office in Boston specifically to support the offshore wind sector in North America. The United States currently has one operational offshore wind farm, which means there is a limited candidate pool with offshore wind experience. Using our extensive candidate networks we will identify local candidates from other sectors with transferable skills, as well as bring highly specialised talent from overseas on L-1A and L-1B visas when required
In Asian wind hotspots such as Philippines, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and Taiwan, we have leveraged our European talent networks to get our clients’ projects off the ground and to help up-skill the local workforce to nurture the ongoing operations and maintenance of the site.
No matter where your wind project is located, you can rest assured we have the ability to connect you to wind personnel on an international level and will mobilise them to site, compliantly.
Global experience in staffing offshore wind projects
We provide full project life-cycle support. Our multilingual teams operate across key wind hubs spanning Europe, North America, Australia and Asia, supporting transmission system operators, developers and contractors to get the most from their wind projects.
Staffing the world's largest turbine fabrication yards
We have a concentrated office network in key fabrication areas across Asia with decades of experience of operating within the local market, utilising local talent pools and leveraging our wider international footprint to get the right people to site. Compliance is at the forefront of our operation; our in-house support teams take care of all contractors’ paperwork, including immigration logistics and orchestrating insurances, and our in-house finance team will manage all payroll and taxation requirements.
Our experience includes helping a major operator to regain control of their health and safety on a fabrication yard in South Korea, mobilising specialist staff for a crane upgrade in Singapore in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic when travel restrictions were at their peak, and mobilising a specialist Danish team into Asia to fabricate a subsea module for a Norwegian-based platform. Thanks to our local knowledge and in-house global mobility capabilities, we mitigated these challenges with ease.
Providing personnel specialised in wind turbine maintenance
Our recruitment teams have provided staff to turnkey projects across pre-assembly through to installation and commissioning, encompassing minor / major correctives and exchange services, for on and offshore wind facilities. Our teams will connect businesses to talent pools of inspection, repairs, and maintenance personnel to service their wind turbine rotor blades, and we’ve supplied volume numbers of engineers to complete installation and components exchanges.
Whether you are looking for personnel to process retrofits and upgrades, seeking to implement new upkeep measures on your facility, or need inspection experts, our discipline-specific team have cultivated deep talent networks to meet your hiring needs.
Bridging local knowledge gaps
Our global office network and established candidate talent pools means that we have provided specialist wind personnel to service companies, developers and manufacturers located in geographies where wind is fairly new, enabling them to overcome challenges posed by the developing infrastructure and consequent local talent pool limitations.
In addition, our database of Upstream Oil and Gas professionals is well equipped to transition to the Offshore Wind industry thanks to their skills alignment - both in terms of technical skillsets and soft skills. Transferable skillsets include marine and piping engineering, tower specialisation, support vessels / ports and substation expertise.
The wind sector has created jobs and projects on a global scale, and we have been part of this journey through supporting both established and emerging markets. We are proud to have placed candidates in every project phase across sites in Europe, North America, The Middle East, and Asia Pacific.
