Diversity
With over 80 offices around the globe NES Fircroft has a diverse workforce and we recognise, respect and value the diverse nature of the wider society in which we operate.
However we do not feel it is enough to simply implement procedures in line with equality legislation and we have broadened our approach to ensure we are working towards being market leaders in tackling diversity issues and are supporting our clients to achieve their diversity goals.
To ensure we maintain this diversity and foster a truly inclusive culture, we aim to do more than just follow regional legislation. Our vision is to broaden our approach to ensure we become the market leaders in tackling diversity issues and to support our clients to achieve their diversity goals, thereby enhancing the reputation of the recruitment industry.

Internal Approach to Diversity & Inclusion
APSCo
We are proud to be members of APSCo's “Embrace” action group and are committed to their Gender Equality Charter. As a signatory we work to ensure that we achieve best practice in our recruitment, career progression and retention practices and aim to empower our female employees to achieve their full potential; we operate a dedicated female talent development programme, designed to offer women support, training and mentoring to help them achieve their goals.
Belong
Taking this one step further we have also established “Belong” groups in many hubs around the world, which are support groups set up by staff and for staff of all genders and ethnicities. Belong is a safe place where they can come together and discuss concerns or put forward ideas to drive change and celebrate diversity around the business.
Internal Survey
This year, we also introduced our first D&I employee survey. The survey collated age, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity and disability data and captured employee sentiment about inclusion at NES Fircroft. This annual survey will enable us to monitor changes in sentiment and help us better understand how we can embed a culture that fully embraces and values the scope of diversity we have.
85% of staff would recommend NES Fircroft as an employer and 83% feel as though they belong with us
Industry Recognition
Our efforts to drive inclusion were recognised in 2022 at the Talint International awards when we won the Diversity and Inclusion accolade. The judges highlighted that “NES Fircroft clearly demonstrated their commitment to DE&I through an extensive training programme underpinned by strong data” and also praised our “use of technology to remove bias”.
Our External Approach
Diverse Job Boards
We have a partnership with Diversifying Agencies - a purpose-led careers platform that helps people to find jobs with employers who are serious about diversity and inclusion, and allows employers to showcase their jobs to a diverse community to practise a truly inclusive recruitment processes with equity.
Supporting Women in Energy
NES Fircroft is a member of ALLY (Pink Petro) - an organisation dedicated to connecting and advancing women in Energy. Our Marketing Director sits on their Global Community Council and meets quarterly with peers from organisations such as Baker Hughes, Cheniere and Halliburton to connect on emerging issues and challenges.
Taking the market temperature
In partnership with Powerful Women UK, NES Fircroft is proud to annually survey female engineers to discover the challenges they face and what support they need to thrive. The research is designed to help highlight what the Energy industry can do to attract and retain more female employees and to inform hiring managers on diversity best practice.
Empowering Women in Energy & Engineering
We recognise that the energy and engineering landscape is very much still a male-dominated environment and have therefore created several content pieces aimed to instil confidence in women to progress within the industry, and to support clients who are also striving to improve their practices.
